PHYLLIS JEAN PHILLIPS (nee Dages), age 96, passed away July 26, 2025. Beloved wife of the late William A. Phillips for 39 years. Loving mother of Elizabeth "Betsy" Bellingham (Jonathan), David Phillips (Kathy DiPerna), and Carolyn Sedlak (David). Devoted grandmother of Ian (Liz), Eric (Jennifer), Jamie (Eric), Stephen (Hannah), Olivia, Christopher, Katherine, and great grandmother of Mason and Lily. Proud aunt of many nephews and nieces.

A lifelong resident of Brecksville, Phyllis lived a life full of love, compassion, and joyful activity. A devoted and active member of the Brecksville United Methodist Church, she gave generously of her time and talents as a member of the Church Choir, the Hand Bell Choir, and as an enthusiastic participant in church plays. She was also an active member of the Couples Club and remained deeply involved in the life of the church throughout her years.

Her passion for the arts and for nurturing young talent found a joyful outlet in her leadership of the Clothes Pin Players Youth Theater for Children, where she helped spark creativity and confidence in generations of children. She also supported the Rainbow Girls as a Charter Member and as a devoted Rainbow Mother Advisor, guiding and mentoring young women with care and grace.

A 72-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Phyllis exemplified the values of loyalty, service, and sisterhood. She was also a proud supporter of the Squire Rich Museum in Brecksville, committed to preserving local history and culture.

In addition to her community and church involvement, Phyllis found great joy in fellowship and friendship. She was an active member of several bridge clubs, the Brecksville Dance Club, and the Brecksville Antique Club. An avid golfer, she loved time spent on the green with friends, and she traveled the world extensively during her retirement.

Before raising her family, Phyllis worked at Brecksville Bank and later spent 13 years with Lund Equipment. She was also a devoted caregiver to her aunt, mother, and mother-in-law, providing loving and compassionate care that reflected her deeply nurturing spirit.

Phyllis will be remembered for her kindness, energy, creativity, and unwavering dedication to her faith, family, and community. Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched and the joy she brought to all who knew her.

Family and Friends will be received at Nosek-McCreery Funeral Home, 8150 Brecksville Rd., Brecksville, OH 44141 on Friday, August 1, 2025 from 6-8 p.m. Phyllis' Funeral and Eastern Star Services will be held at the FUNERAL HOME, Saturday, August 2, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. followed by interment at Brecksville Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Ohio Masonic Home Foundation, 2655 West National Rd., Springfield, OH 45504 in memory of Phyllis would be appreciated.
