I met Phyllis at North Woods Nursing & Rehab in August where she and I shared a room for 3 weeks. I have never grown to love someone as quickly as I did Phyllis. She was so positive and encouraging at a time when I needed it. We quickly learned that we both had family connections in Leslie. We spent a lot of time watching the squirrels steal the food from the bird feeder outside her window as they performed acrobatics. She shared her wonderful memories of her mules and her adventures with her covered wagon. I thank God for the privilege of getting to know Phyllis for a short time and will carry her in my heart forever.
