Beloved sister and daughter, Phyllis Ann Romaguera, entered into eternal rest on February 9, 2025, at the age of 69. She was a longtime resident of Harvey, Louisiana. She was a graduate of LW Higgins High School, where she was involved with the arts and drama department. After some college, began a long career in the Jefferson Parish Court System as Minute Clerk, taking notes for many judges. She was known for her outgoing caring spirit, her sense of humor, her generosity, her love of gardening, music, and her dogs, and her sincere attachment to the city of New Orleans: music, parades, and great food. She absolutely adored her nieces and their families. With heavy hearts, family and friends feel she was taken from us much too soon.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Phyllis and Larry Romaguera, her wife Robin, her sister Lolita, and her niece Jennifer. She is survived by her older brother and sister-in-law, Dominic and Ruth Romaguera, and their children: Rachel Phillips (husband Paul and son Owen), and Alexandra Neagli (husband Robert, son Reed, daughter Nora). She was also survived by Lolita’s son, Jonathan Rodriguez.
Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of her life at Mothe Funeral Homes, located at 2100 Westbank Expressway in Harvey on Thursday, February 20, 2025. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am until the funeral service at 1:30 pm. Internment will follow at Westlawn Cemetery, located at 1225 Whitney Avenue in Gretna. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the National Humane Society (https://www.nationalhumanesociety.org/)
