Phyllis Sheldon Obituary
A Celebration of Life Service for Chris will be held at Clark-Stocking Funeral Chapel on Friday, November 10, 2023, at 1 p.m. with Joyce Beemer officiating. The family will receive friends on the day of the service from 11 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to family. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel.
Chris was born on May 14, 1946, in Saint-Ouen, France, daughter of Eugene and Paulette (Zurecki) Sharp. She was united in marriage to John L. Sheldon on February 2, 1974, at the First Congregational Church in Harrison. She enjoyed painting, photography, watching bull riding, feeding birds, cooking, baking, and walking in the woods with her grandchildren. Her grandchildren were her world.
Chris is survived by her children, Mike (Shannon) Sheldon of Harrison, Cory (Lynnette) Sheldon of Harrison and Faye Wallace of Harrison; six grandchildren, Isabel Sheldon, Cory Sheldon, David Wallace, Ethan Wallace, Katie Sheldon and Leah Wallace; mother, Paulette Sharp of Harrison; sister, Connie Cummings of Burton, MI; brother, Eugene "Skeet" (Julie) Sharp of Harrison; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and her beloved pets, Nugget, Snowball, Dora, and Sparky.
Chris was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, John on February 23, 2022; father, Eugene G. Sharp; step-son, Shane Anthony Sheldon; and son-in-law, Dave Wallace.
