Phyllis D. Shurtleff

On Friday, January 31, 2025, our dear mother Phyllis Dorothy (Ruffen) Hannagan Shurtleff, sadly passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family. She was a wonderful mother who was always there for us kids, especially when we needed her most, offering support, wisdom, and guidance. 

 She was predeceased by her husband, Paul Shurtleff; her son, Shawn Patrick Hannagan; her grandson, Christopher Hannagan; mother, Ruth Ruffen; father, Philip Ruffen; brothers Richard Ruffen, Larry Ruffen, Jay Ruffen.

 She is survived by her children Russell Hannagan, Patricia Domenichello (Ed), Russell Shurtleff, Chad Shurtleff, Ryan Shurtleff; her grandchildren Dennis Dietrich (Heather), Edward Domenichello, Jennifer Shurtleff, Gerrette Beaulieu, Tyler Beaulieu (Rachel), Mercedes Shurtleff, Kinsley Shurtleff, Oliver Shurtleff; great grandchildren Annabelle Dietrich, Johanna Dietrich, Reziel Domenichello, Tre Maurey Domenichello, Mason Beaulieu; siblings Carol Mings, Donna Therrien, Billy Ruffen.

 Phyllis was an amazing woman. She was never afraid to venture into anything new or unknown. She created multiple businesses in her time from a convenience store to craft shops. Anyone who crossed her path knew that she was an amazing force in so many ways. Her love was powerful and her personality magnetic. She enjoyed so many things in her life. Spending time with family and friends were high on her list along with cooking (anything but pancakes), crafting, bingo, and helping out anyone and everyone in need. 

She will be sadly missed by her Franklin VNA hospice family who provided expert and loving care. 

Friends and family are invited to gather Friday, February 7, 2025, 1:30-3:00pm at the Cremation Society of New Hampshire, 172 King Street in Boscawen.
