Phyllis Noreen Slaton

Phyllis Noreen Slaton (née Pearson), born on November 12, 1956, in Greenville, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on February 16, 2026, in Macon, Georgia. She was 69 years old.

Phyllis was the beloved daughter of John Henry and the late Betty Jean Pearson. She grew up alongside her siblings Pamilla, John Wesley, and Jay Pearson, forming bonds that lasted throughout her life. A devoted follower of Christ, Phyllis found great joy and spiritual fulfillment in attending Henderson Road Baptist Church, where she worshipped in fellowship with cherished friends.

Phyllis was a loving mother and grandmother who treasured her family deeply. She is survived by her sons James II and his wife Melissa Kittle, along with their children James III and Miles; Jeb and his wife Felicia Kittle, with their children Sean, Johnathan, Wesley, and Jovie; and her stepdaughter Kristen and her husband Jake Jacobs, along with their children Anslee and Connor. Her legacy also extends to five great-grandchildren who brought her immense pride and joy.

She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Michael Slaton, with whom she shared many cherished memories.

Phyllis's life was a testament to faith, love, and devotion to family. May her memory bring comfort to all who knew her. A Memorial Service will be held on February 28, 2026, from 02:30 PM to 03:00 PM at Henderson Road Baptist Church 742 Henderson Road, Macon, GA.
