Teresa Grubbs Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Gray Memorial Chapel & Crematory on Feb. 5, 2026.
Teresa Kendrick Grubbs, known to most as Teri, went home to the Lord on January 29, 2026, in Macon, Georgia. Born on February 1, 1952, in Dalton, Georgia, Teri was the daughter of Helen and William (Bill) Kendrick.

Teri grew up in Georgia and graduated high school in Atlanta. She later moved to Macon, where she met the love of her life, Cary Grubbs. They were married in 2003 and enjoyed the life they built together. Teri worked for Super Storage for 17 years before her retirement.

Teri was a sweet soul with a generous heart. She was the kind of person who would give the shirt off her back to help someone in need. She was full of joy and truly enjoyed life. She loved traveling with her husband, especially going on cruises, attending NASCAR races, and playing slot machines.

Teri was preceded in death by her parents, Helen and William Kendrick. Coming from a small family, Teri leaves behind her beloved husband, Cary Grubbs; her son, Ian Perkins; grandsons, Sailor Perkins and Scout Perkins; her sister, Debra Kendrick; and her niece, Heather Nolan, all of whom will miss her dearly. Through her marriage to Cary, she also gained many family members who deeply loved her and her sweet spirit.

A Celebration of her life service will be held on Monday, February 9, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Gray Memorial Chapel & Crematory. A private burial will take place for family only immediately following the service.

Debra so very sorry for your loss. Love you sweet friend. My best memories of Teresa, are the two of us driving her nuts during our sleepovers. We had some really good times.

My dear aunt TD, I will miss you so much. I know you are with Granny and Papa now, and will watch over Ian, Mom and I. You were so much fun to be around and I'll always remember the special holidays we had as a big family, as well as the ones with me, Ian, you and Cary. I know we'll meet again one day, and it comforts me to know you are no longer suffering.
