Phyllis J. Soendker

Phyllis Jean Soendker, 84, of Oak Grove, Missouri passed away on December 24, 2024. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at Royer Funeral Home, Oak Grove, Missouri. The family will receive friends at 1:00 p.m. until the time of the memorial service. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Aspire Senior Living in Oak Grove, Missouri.
Phyllis married Willis Soendker on February 10, 1979. She worked for the Social Security Administration from 1960-1994 and retired in January of 1995. She and Willis enjoyed traveling in their 5th wheel. On their travels they liked antiquing and going to auctions. Enjoying the outdoors, they spent much of their time flower gardening and were members of the Wellinton-Napoleon Dirt Daubers Garden Club. She was also a member of the SSA Alumni Association, member of St. Luke's Church in Wellington, MO and a past member of Road Runners Square Dancing Club. Phyllis was also an Avid KC Chiefs Fan.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers, 1 sister, and her loving Husband Willis Soendker.
She is survived by her brother, Charles W. Dieker of Wichita, KS; 2 step-daughters: Cathy Soendker Strahle of Sedalia, MO, Connie Soendker Anderson of Olathe, KS; 3 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; cousins, Tom & Donna Dieker; numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members; and special friends – Lynn & Donna Fahrmeier and children.
