Thomas Joseph Drees

Thomas Joseph Drees, son of Lawrence and Catherine Drees, was born January 4, 1956, in Kansas City, MO. He entered eternal rest on March 14, 2026 at the age of seventy years.

Thomas was a Veteran having served with the United States Navy for four years. On June 3, 1981, he was married to Carolyn Murchie. Mr. Drees worked at the Honeywell K.C. Plant for thirty years. He was a fan of the KC Chiefs and Royals and enjoyed gardening and spending time with his grandkids.

Thomas is survived by his wife, Carolyn Drees of the home; two children, Lori Wilkerson (Mike) and Phillip Murchie (Robelene); granddaughters, Gianna Murchie and Rachel Turner (Joseph); great-grandson, Waylon Turner; sisters, Susan Hernandez (Louie) and Linda; brother, Larry Drees (Sherry); and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his first wife, Barbara Drees; and two sisters, Janie and Catherine.

Services will be held on Thursday, March 19 th at Royer Funeral Home in Oak Grove, with visitation at 1:00 p.m. followed by the funeral at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Oak Grove or the Kansas City V.A.
