Phyllis Springfield Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by House-Rawlings Funeral Home - London on Dec. 16, 2024.
Phyllis Springfield, age 78, of London, Kentucky passed away on Saturday, December 14, 2024.
She leaves behind her husband, Richard Springfield; two children, Elisabeth Fouts & husband Jack of London, KY, Rebecca Overstreet & husband Jeff of Stanford, KY; ten grandchildren, Chris Murphy, Lauren Rogers, Adam Baker, Katlyn Sexton, Rachel Rogers, Tyler Bruner, Kelsey Bottom, Amy Fouts, Julie Fouts, Trinity Rogers; nine great grandchildren; plus a host of other family and friends to mourn her passing.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Elizabeth Wyatt Broughton; her daughter, Leslie Rogers; and by three siblings, Eugene Broughton, Charles Broughton, Gary Broughton.
Phyllis was a woman of remarkable kindness and generosity, always putting her family first. Her greatest joy came from the time she spent with her children, grandchildren, and close friends. Her home was a haven of laughter, comfort, and love, where everyone felt welcome.
An avid reader, Phyllis had an insatiable curiosity and a love for learning. Her passion for stories inspired many around her to pick up a book and discover the magic of reading.
Phyllis's fur babies, Baxter and Dunkan, held a special place in her heart. Her care and affection for them were evident in the way she lovingly doted on them, considering them as much a part of her family as anyone else.
She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched. In honoring her memory, may we strive to embody the love and kindness she so effortlessly shared with the world.
A private family service will be held at a later date. The family has entrusted House-Rawlings Funeral Home with the arrangements.
