Sr. Pia "Mariam Zia Hanoush"

It is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of our beloved sister, Mariam Zia Hanoush, known in Religious Life as Sister Pia.

Sr. Pia passed away on October 7, 2025, the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary, in San Diego, California. She will be laid to rest in Southfield, Michigan.

Sr. Pia joined the Congregation of the Chaldean Sisters, Daughters of Mary Immaculate on November 1, 1958. She was faithful to her vocation as a bride of Christ and a joyful daughter of Mary. She was a shining example of her life's motto: "Oh Jesus, whatever you want is what I love!"

Daughter of the late Zia Jajjo Hanoush & the late Khokho Jajjo Sitto.

Loving sister of Izat Hanoush, the late Jamila Kannu, Kamila Kachi & Hayat Atto.
