Pike Lee Moss

With heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life well-lived, we announce the passing of Pike Lee Moss, who departed this world on February 21, 2026, at the age of 60. Born on May 21, 1965, in Peoria, Illinois, to Edwin Moss and Wanda Moss, Pike brought joy and warmth to everyone lucky enough to know him. More recently He spent the last year residing in Springfield, Missouri.

Pike was a lifelong adventurer; his heart belonged to the great outdoors. Whether he was hunting, fishing, or camping, Pike embraced nature with open arms and an infectious enthusiasm. He cherished every moment spent under the open sky, often sharing tales of his latest excursions with family and friends. A true foodie at heart, he loved exploring new restaurants, with a particular fondness for fried fish that delighted his taste buds. Pike had an adventurous palate and delighted in introducing others to unique culinary experiences.

In addition to his love for the outdoors and food, Pike had a profound appreciation for Native American culture, an interest that enriched his life and the lives of those around him. He fostered a spirit of respect and curiosity for traditions that shaped the world, continually searching for connections and stories that uplifted his journey.

Pike leaves behind cherished memories and love in the hearts of his family. His nephew that was like a son to him, Joshua Moss, his wife Diona Moss, and their children Elliot, Chloe and Ethan. His kindness, openness to life, and zest for every adventure will be sorely missed.

Pike was preceded in death by his parents Edwin and Wanda Moss, and his sister Deanna (Jim) Sutton. He is survived by his sister Rose (Carl) Hamm, his sister Maleata Schneider, her son Jason Schneider and his family, William (Kathy) Moss, many friends and friends who were like family back in Peoria, Illinois.

A memorial service celebrating Pike's vibrant life will take place on March 25, 2026, at Greenlawn Funeral Home North at 3:00 PM. Prior to the service, family and friends are invited to a visitation starting at 2:00 PM, where we can gather to share stories, laughter, and memories that honor the beloved spirit of Pike.
