Polly Ann Bryant, 76 of Sanford, passed away on July 16, 2025 at Maine Medical Center in Portland.
She was born on March 24, 1949 the daughter of Alfred and Carloine (Bevelaqua) Pontbriand, in Georgetown,MA.
Polly dedicated much of her life to raising her children and caring for others as a stay-at-home mom and babysitter. She could be found watching her shows and yelling at them, which brought laughter to those around her. Whether she was crocheting, crafting, or enjoying games with her family, Polly brought warmth and fun.
She cherished time spent with her grandchildren and especially adored her great-grandchildren. Her generous heart and joyful spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Polly is preceded in death by a son, Romeo Thompson, her brothers Norman Pontbriand, Richard Pontbriand, Mark Pontbriand, sister in law Sandra Pontbriand, brother Ernest Pontbriand, brother in law Robert Wasson.
Survivors include her children Nelson Thompson and Cindylou Ouellette, brother Melvin Pontbriand, her sisters Carole George and her husband Max, Jane Archambault and her husband Kenneth, Jeannette Adams and her husband Kenneth, and Brenda Wasson, many nieces, nephews grandchildren and her great grandchildren Dylan, Malia, Leilani and many beloved friends.
Services will be held at the Nottingham Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the American Heart Association to be made in her name.
All of Polly's family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to Maine Medical Center in Portland, Maine for all of the wonderful care they have shown her.
Arrangements are under the direction of Black Heald and Walker Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Sanford Springvale.
