Polly Winter Obituary
Polly Winter, age 78, of Baton Rouge, passed away peacefully on April 13th, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Alexandria, Louisiana on August 9th, 1946, Polly traveled the world during her childhood following her father’s Military service. As an adult, she prided herself on being a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was known for her selfless actions and kind heart. She was actively involved in Lanier Baptist Church and always volunteering in her community.
She leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion and will forever be missed by her children, Genelle and husband Blake, Ray and wife Sharon, and Danny and wife Leah; Grandchildren, Cody, Morgan, Emily, Elizabeth and husband Nathan, Victoria, Isabella, Jonathan, Joshua, and Harrison; Siblings Clyde, June and husband Kirk, and Tommy and wife Rilda.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Claudius Howse Jr. and Tommy Pauline Brennon Howse; her husband Raymond Winter Sr.; and sisters Susan and Pat.
A celebration of life will be held at Jefferson Baptist Church at 9135 Jefferson Hwy in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on May 2nd, 2025. Friends welcome to gather starting at 11am and service to follow at 12pm.
Family requests that memorial donations be made in Polly's name to the Alzheimer's Foundation. Donations can be made by clicking the button below.
