Prabhakar Chalasani Obituary
With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Prabhakar Chalasani, born on November 21, 1954, in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, India. He peacefully left us on October 21, 2024, in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, after a courageous battle with ALS, surrounded by his loving family.
Prabhakar was the beloved husband of Tulasi Rani Chalasani, and a devoted father to Raghu and Vasudhaa. He was a proud grandfather to Eesha, Avik, Anya, and Megha. A graduate of Osmania University with a Bachelor of Engineering, Prabhakar served as Chief Engineer at the Public Works Department (PWD) of Andhra Pradesh.
He had a deep love for traveling, a passion for his friends and family, and an adventurous spirit. Known for his kindness, generosity, and willingness to help anyone in need, he touched the lives of many with his unwavering support and care.
Funeral Information: The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM at AJ Desmond & Sons Funeral Home, 2600 Crooks Rd., Troy, Michigan (between Maple and Big Beaver). There will be visitation and puja during this time.
In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family kindly requests donations be made to ALS of Michigan to help find a cure and make a difference in others' lives.
