Prentice "P.J." Breaud Jr.

1951 - 2024

Prentice "P.J." Breaud Jr. passed away on Thursday, September 26, 2024 at the age of 73. He leaves behind his wife Fran Breaud of 42 years, 3 sisters, Pat Carambat, Sheila Best and Cindy Breaud. His 3 children Douglas (Maura) Richardson Sr., Michael Douglas, Heather (Wade) Douglas and 6 grandchildren April Richardson, Douglas Richardson Jr., Mikayla Douglas, River Rico, Mason Rico and Blaise Rico and one great grandchild River June Richardson. He is predeceased by his parents, Prentice Breaud Sr. (Pep) and Joyce Hebert Breaud (Mema), his brother Gwen Thomas Breaud , and his daughter in law Karla Warren Douglas. P.J. was born in Norco and was a long time resident of St. Rose. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy Reserves and worked as an electrician at Entergy Waterford I & II and eventually retired as a Design Engineer from Waterford III Nuclear Facility. P.J. loved his family with a passion and enjoyed spending time with and sharing meals with us. He was the epitome of a Catholic Gentleman and exemplified his faith by example. He was an outdoorsman and avid vegetable gardener while raising his beloved flock of chickens. Family and friends are invited to attend the Visitation and Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 1908 Short Street, Kenner, LA 70062 , on Tuesday, October 1, 2024. Visitation from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m with the Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. Burial to follow at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Cemetery.
