Priscilla "Pat" Devoid, age 95, passed into the arms of the Lord from her home with her daughter and son by her side on Monday, February 17, 2025. Born in Burlington, Vermont on October 2, 1929 to the late Earl Dufresne and Beatrice (Beauchemin) Dufresne, Pat was a woman of deep faith, love, and generosity. A devoted member of St. Mark's Catholic Church, she found great comfort in her spirituality and the community it provided.
After retiring from Verizon, Pat remained active, always ensuring that those around her were cared for, well-fed, and happy. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life-playing cards and games, shopping with her daughter, tending her home with great pride, and, most of all, cherishing every conversation with family and friends. Her warmth and kindness made everyone feel welcome, and her love knew no bounds.
Pat is now reunited in Heaven with her beloved husband of 57 years, Oliver "Jack" Devoid, her son Mark Devoid, her brother Thomas Dufresne, and her sister Catherine Bergeron. She leaves behind a legacy of love in the hearts of those who survive her: her devoted children Susan Devoid (husband Chris Norful) and Jeffrey Devoid; her treasured grandchildren Raina Durrence (husband Marc Durrence and children Logan and Liam), Kristie Devoid (children Declan and Kyriana), Jennifer Devoid, and Jeremiah Devoid.
Pat will forever be remembered for her selflessness, unwavering devotion to her family, and the kindness she so freely gave to all. Her laughter, faith, and boundless love will remain in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her.
A memorial service to honor and celebrate Pat's life will be announced soon. To plant a beautiful memorial tree in memory of Priscilla, please visit our Tree Store.
