Priscilla Ann Gise (Cheek) ObituaryPriscilla Ann Cheek Gise, age 87, passed away on Monday March 10th at her home in Edina with her children by her side. She was preceded in death by her husband Lawrence Preston Gise, Jr. in 1995, and is survived by her son Christopher Gise and her daughter Mary Gise.
Priscilla was a chemical dependency counselor and licensed psychologist, and one of the founders of the non-profit Five Stars Recovery Center which operated out of Chanhassen and helped a great many people.
She also loved her American Saddlebred horses and Hackney ponies. Her favorite horse was the many-times champion CH Our Brilliant Belle, who she supported and loved during her long show career. She also enjoyed horse breeding and was excited to see Belle's legacy carried on in her babies.
Priscilla was a remarkable person and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Donations are requested in lieu of flowers to either Saddlebred Rescue (saddlebredrescue.com) or Center for Animal Rehabilitation and Education in Waukesha WI (centerforanimalrehab.org).
The family will greet friends from 2-3:00 PM at the Lakewood Cemetery Chapel, 3600 Hennepin Ave. Minneapolis, Tuesday March 18, 2025, with interment to follow.
