Priscilla Sicard, 84, passed away on March 15, 2025 at MedStar Washington Hospital Center in Washington D.C. due to cardiac complications. Born in Western Massachusetts, Priscilla built a distinguished career as an art director in the publishing industry, working for many years in Connecticut. Her professional life was marked by creativity and dedication.
In her later years, she became a devoted Associate of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Springfield, Massachusetts. She volunteered at Weston Rehab for Women, a workforce re-entry program supporting incarcerated women as they transitioned back into society. In 2006, she moved to Baltimore, Maryland, where she married Mary Catherine Day. Committed to serving others, Priscilla founded the Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry, which has flourished for two decades, providing essential support to those in need. She was known for her warmth and compassion and sought to model her life after Mother Teresa in service to the less fortunate.
Priscilla is survived by her beloved spouse of 20 years, Mary Catherine Day; her twin sister Pat Sicard and Pat’s wife Donna Michel; and Aunts Sonia Vlahevic and Regina Ridley; also cousins Ann LaBonte and Peter Czupryna; and many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at 1:00pm at Epiphany Lutheran Church 4301 Raspe Avenue Baltimore, MD 21206. An informal potluck reception will follow the service in the church parlor. Donations may be made payable to “Loaves and Fishes Inc.” and sent to Epiphany Lutheran Church.
Her legacy of kindness and service will continue to inspire those who knew her.
