He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most high shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; In Him will I trust Psalm 91:1-2

REFLECTIONS OF LIFE

In Loving Memory of Queen Hester Gary

Queen Hester Gary, born February 25, 1940, in Bronson, Florida, was the cherished daughter of Leroy Dude and Annie Jane Glover. Queen grew up in a loving home alongside her four siblings: Elroy, Charles, Anzenetta, and Mary Jane.

Queen was a woman of many interests including crocheting, flower gardening, and watercolor art. Her hands were never idle. These hobbies brought her joy.

But Perhaps her deepest joy of all was hosting family gatherings and sharing her love through the meals she prepared for the family.

Queen’s legacy is carried on by her loving children, her devoted daughter, Vickie Roberts, and her two adoring sons, Barry Glover (Betty) and Marcus Glover (Kim). She was a proud grandmother to five loving grandchildren Brittany Thomas (Tracy), Michaela Glover, Priscilla Glover, Marcus Glover, Jr. (Ellyssiah), Jasmine Glover; and great-grandmother to nine cherished great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her endless joy. She also leaves behind her beloved baby sister, Mary Jane McCann and adopted brother Gregory Glover, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Queen lived a life full of love, creativity, and generosity, touching the lives of everyone she met. The 14 years she spent working as a CNA at Williston Memorial Hospital were representative of her natural inclination to help others in need, which she spent her entire life doing, both on and off the job. Service to others was her God-given gift. Her cheerful laughter, caring spirit, and devoted love for her family and friends will be deeply missed but forever cherished in our hearts.

Let us celebrate her abundant life and honor the legacy she leaves behind–one filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.
