Quentin Ploch Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by McNeil's Funeral Service on Jan. 30, 2026.
Quentin Larue Ploch, age 81, of Mustang, Oklahoma, joined the angels in heaven on Wednesday, January 28, 2026. He was born in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania on December 14, 1944, to his parents George Oliver and Lois Marie Ploch. He lived in Pennsylvania throughout his childhood and teenage years. After high school, Quentin enlisted in the US Air Force as an Inventory Mgmt. Specialist and served from 1962-1966, ending his service at the rank of Airman First Class E4. Quentin met and married his wife Judy Kaye Stalcup while stationed at Clinton-Sherman Air Force Base in Burns Flat, Oklahoma and they had a long-lasting, loving marriage of 60 years together.

Quentin's first job after being discharged from the Air Force was with Thompson's Books in Oklahoma City where he was packing and shipping boxes. While there a man picking up freight for Mistletoe Freight suggested that he get a job with them. He did just that and began his truck driving career that lasted 40 years. He was a Mustang volunteer fire fighter for 20 years and drove buses for Mustang Public Schools for 15 years.

He was a loving and caring son, husband, father, grandfather and friend to everyone he met. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and spending time with loved ones. He is fondly remembered by those who knew him as funny and kind with a great heart and love for God. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Quentin is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, a brother, 3 sisters, and in-laws. He is survived by his wife, Judy; daughter, Karla and her husband, Harold; brother, George Ploch, and 2 sisters, Faith Wright and Martha Orlaski; 3 grandchildren and their spouses, Karl and Amy Griffith, David and Elizabeth Beavers, and Mikel and Jaclyn Beavers; 6 great-grandchildren, Annabelle, Adelaide, Jackson, Lola, Todd, and Luree; and multiple other loved ones and friends.

The visitation will be Sunday, February 1, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The memorial service will be held on Monday, February 2, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at The Bridge church in Mustang, Oklahoma. Interment to follow memorial service at Mustang Cemetery.

Praying for Judy and her family, so sorry your loss of Quentin. He was always nice and friendly when I would see him in a store or elsewhere.
Quentin would joke with you, also.

My daughter, Rhonda, (& Eddie), also, sends her condolences to Judy and Karla and family. We appreciate you, Judy. Our prayers are with you all.

In Christ Love,

Freda Blair
