Geraldine Ploch Obituary
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, April 16, 2025 at 11:30 am at St. Bernard's Catholic Church, with Fr. David Drefcinski officiating. Family and friends may gather at the church from 9am until the time of the Mass. Burial will take place at the parish cemetery.
Geraldine "Geri" Rose Ploch was born October 25, 1946, in Watertown, the daughter of George and Barbara (née Firkus) Czerwonka. She was a proud graduate of Solomon Juneau High School in Milwaukee. Geri began her professional journey at Milwaukee TV and later worked at Sentry, eventually finding her calling as a Union Steel Worker and a Union Steward at Johnson Controls in Watertown, WI.
Geri married Daniel E. Ploch, Sr., on June 11, 1966 at Saint Luke's Church in Brookfield. He preceded her in death on January 10, 1999. Geri was a loving and generous mother, known for her caring heart. She found joy in reading and cherished time spent with her grandchildren, especially on special outings to Holy Hill. In her younger years, she took pride in canning vegetables.
Geri is survived by her children: Danica (Kurt) Herritz, Martin (Kerin) Ploch, and Daniel II (Mariana) Ploch; grandchildren: Devin (April) Herritz, Juliena (Ryan) Martin, Greta (Justin) Wempe, Gunnar (Mollie) Ploch, Garrett Ploch, Gregory Ploch, Gabriel Ploch, Taelor (Chase Jester) Ploch, Megan (Hunter) Oestreich, Molly (Ivan) Couch, and Ethan Ploch; great-grandchildren: Helana, August, Cameron, Brayden, Rowan, Fynnick, Ashlin, Jaxzyn, Maverix, Holden, and Teagan; siblings: George (Sharon) Czerwonka Jr., Robert (Ann) Czerwonka, Dotti Plantz, Carl (Cathy) Czerwonka, Rod (Louann) Czerwonka, Jeffery (Cynthia) Czerwonka, Anita (George) Muckerheide, Susan (Thomas) Bandle, and Rene (David) Schneider.
Geri is further preceded in death by her parents and siblings: Patricia Formanek, Joseph Czerwonka, Gregory Czerwonka and Angela Czerwonka.
