R.C. Bryant, age 84 of the Little Creek Community, went Home to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 5, 2024, at the Greens in Spruce Pine, surrounded by family. Born on June 25, 1940, he was the son of the late Rexter Bryant, and Zona Belle Haney Bryant. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his precious wife, Wanda Leigh Bryant; brothers: Martin Bryant, Charles Bryant, Lyda Bryant, and John Bryant.
R.C. was a lifelong Deacon at Bee Log Baptist Church. He retired from Glen Raven, where he worked for many years. He loved riding his motorcycle and collecting antiques.
Left to cherish his memory is his son, Rex (Mick) Bryant, and wife, Tina Bryant; grandchildren: Logan Bryant of Pigeon Forge, and Baleigh Bryant of Burnsville; brother, Oakland Bryant of Morganton; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, September 9, 2024, in the Chapel of Holcombe Brothers Funeral Home in Burnsville, NC. The family will receive friends and loved ones two hours prior to the service for visitation. Reverend Aaron Autrey will be officiating. Interment will be held the following day at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at the Bennett Cemetery in Green Mountain, NC.
The family would like to give special thanks to Dana Ray, and Devin Burgin, for all their love, care, and support. Also, thank you to Hospice of the Blue Ridge for their wonderful care of R.C. Donations may be made to Hospice of the Blue Ridge at 236 Hospital Drive, Spruce Pine, NC 28777, or to The Greens at Spruce Pine at 218 Laurel Creek Court, Spruce Pine, NC 28777.
