R. Zachariah Combs-York

R. Zachariah Combs-York passed away suddenly on Saturday, January 15, 2022.
Zachariah was born on June 10, 1994 to Robert E. and Kimberly (Combs) York. Zachariah along with his sister, Holly, were their parents' world. They were such a close family. If they didn't see each other every day, they would text each other to check in.
He graduated from Monroe Central High School, class of 2013. Zachariah was a member of McCormick View Chapel, where he was the song leader and ran the sound board. He sang with the York family stroll over heaven ministries alongside his dad and sister. Zach grew up in that church and had been singing on stage since the age of three. He earned a spot to be a part of Ambassador of Music for gifted singers to tour Europe. He toured seven countries and sung in several cathedrals during his junior year of high school.
Zachariah is survived by his parents, Robert and Kimberly York; his sister, keeper, best-friend and shadow, Holly Marie Combs-York; his three wonderful children, Robert Zachariah Combs-York Jr., Vanessa Amberly Combs-York and Kortlyn Elaine Combs-York; shis special nephew Remi Leonard McDaniel; his grandpa, Leonard Combs, whom Zach always said taught him everything about carpentry and grandpa's garage was Zach's garage.
Also surviving is his very special aunts, Judy Hines and Sandy Terrell, along with Grandma Violet York of New Castle and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Zachariah was preceded in death by his grandma, Haley M. Combs, whom he will be buried next to. He was the sunshine of her life. He was also preceded by his grandpa Earl York and his aunts, Debbie York and Vickie York.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Monday, January 24, 2022 at McCormick View Chapel 2010 E Purdue Road Muncie, IN 47303 with Pastor Mark Wilkerson officiating. Burial will follow at Eaton Union Cemetery.
Visitation for family and friends will be prior to services starting at 11:00 a.m.
