R.E. Peska

R. E. Peska has been known as Beck for most of his life. Beck was born July 29, 1949 in Savanna, Illinois and passed on April 4, 2024 in Rockford. Beck spent the middle decades of his life as an artisan in San Jose, California. Beck returned back home in the last decade to help care for his family where he was a grand great uncle to Michael, Nicholas, and Victoria. He enjoyed working on projects around the house, woodworking and painting for family and friends, a good cup of coffee, and spending time outdoors. Beck is survived by siblings, Pam and Fred (Sharon); nephews and nieces, Anthony (Sara), Scott, Wendy, Robert, Bonnie, Angie; and many more adored family and friends. He was predeceased by mother Lucille (Holland) Peska, siblings, Wayne, Warren, and Roberta, and their father, Robert. Beck will be remembered for a life of service to others and family, and for his kind soul. In respect with his wishes, no services are being held. In Beck's remembrance, please spend time with your loved ones, share kindness with strangers, and enjoy a coffee reflecting on a life fully lived and Isaiah 41:10-14, the verse Beck carried.
