R. Ronald Panigrosso passed away on November 11, 2022 after a long battle with cancer. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of almost 50 years, Louise. Ron is also survived by his 2 children and their spouses, Louis and Emily Panigrosso; and Angela and Paul Philips. "Papa Ron" also leaves behind a beautiful granddaughter, Natalia. Ron was a life-long and devout Catholic and was especially proud of his home parish St. Paul's. He shared his gift of music with the St. Paul's community by leading a children's chorus and providing musical accompaniment at numerous Masses. Many will also remember Ron playing his guitar at some of our area's "less than holy" establishments. Ron was a proud graduate of Christian Brother's Academy and St. Bonaventure University. He came to the Southern Tier after college to teach in the Binghamton City School District. After teaching for 10 years, he decided to pursue a career in financial services and initially catered exclusively to the financial needs of his fellow educators. Over the years he helped build Confidential Brokerage Services into a full service financial services firm before illness forced his retirement. Confidential Brokerage Services continues as part of his legacy. Ron originally hailed from Perth Amboy, New Jersey. He was predeceased by his parents, Dr. and Mrs. Louis R. Panigrosso and his siblings, S. Louis Panigrosso and Carmen Titolo. Ron fanatically followed the LA Dodgers and NY Giants. During his illness he also found joy in watching The Price is Right. A gifted musician and story teller, he spent his free time entertaining anyone who would listen. In addition to his loving family, he was blessed to have many wonderful friends. The Human Jukebox has left the building. Visitation will be held on Monday, November 14, 2022 from 4pm to 6pm at the THOMAS J. SHEA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 137 Robinson St. Binghamton NY. A Funeral Mass will be Celebrated on Tuesday at 10am at St. Paul's Church in Binghamton. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to The Retired Professional Fire Fighter Cancer Fund, 4 Loretta Drive, Binghamton NY 13905 in Ron's memory.
