Rachel C. Bryan

RACHEL C. BRYAN Rachel C. Bryan, age 86 of Graford, Texas, died Tuesday, September 11, 2025, at Mineral Wells Hospital. Rachel was born September 9, 1939, in Princeton, Illinois, the daughter of Louis and Celia (DePauw) DeSkeere. She married Cephas Bryan on May 16, 1959, at St. Louis Catholic Church in Princeton, Illinois. In their 66 years of marriage, she traveled and lived in many states, Germany (twice), and England. They enjoyed many years of traveling to visit their children and grandchildren. Rachel was an RN and worked at several jobs following her husband's military career. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Graford. Rachel is survived by her husband, Cephas; four sons, Kevin (Lynn) of Los Angeles California, Shawn of Graford Texas, Timothy of Phoenix Arizona, and Daniel (Keiko) of Tacoma Washington; one brother, Laverne Deskeere of Ohio Illinois; 12 grandchildren, Shawn (Mallory) of Aurora Colardo, Leigha of Aurora Colorado, Christopher of Aurora Colorado, Joshua of Palmdale California, Shannon (Hayle) of Palmdale California, Caitlin of Los Vegas Nevada, Austin (Paula) of Phoenix Arizona, Rachael (Woody) of Phoenix Arizona, Kenneth of Seattle Washington, Anthony of Portland Oregon, Kade of Edmond Oklahoma, and Seth of Granbury Texas; 14 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Dolores (Jeff) Phillips; two brothers, Dale and Wilbur DeSkeere; and four sisters, Vivian Skinner, Marietta Croegert, Delores DeSkeere, and Arlene DeSkeere. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 AM on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. Viewing and Rosary will be prior to the funeral from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM. Burial will be private at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Rachel's memory to St. Jude's.
