Rachel Osborn, passed away peacefully on December 22, 2025, in Fairborn, Ohio. She was born on July 7, 1950, in Lincolnton, North Carolina, to her loving parents, David and Ruth Rutledge, who have since preceded her in death.

Rachel's life was a testament to her compassionate spirit and unwavering commitment to helping others. Over the years, she touched countless lives through her work as a physical therapy assistant, where she shared not only her knowledge but also her kindness, offering support and encouragement to those in need. She was known for her gentle approach and ability to connect with her patients, leaving an everlasting impact on their journeys to recovery.

In addition to her career, Rachel was one of the proud founders of the Greater Ohio Boxer Rescue. Through her passion and dedication, she played a vital role in finding loving homes for over 5,000 boxers, a cause that brought her immense joy and fulfillment. Her love for animals including white tigers and butterflies were evident and mirrored the love she had for her family and friends—unconditional and generous.

In her personal life, Rachel was a devoted wife to her beloved husband for more than 40 years, Wayne Osborn, who passed away in 2022. Their bond was strong, nurtured during a time when Wayne served as a valued member of the United States Air Force during the Vietnam era. Together, they built a life filled with love and laughter, creating cherished memories that will live on in the hearts of their family.

Rachel leaves behind a loving family, including her son Sidney (Melody) Osborn; two step-daughters, Tammy Baker and Harriette (James) Blair; and six step-grandchildren who adored her. She also has three step-great-grandchildren, who brought light into her life and made her smile even brighter.

Though she is now reunited with her late husband and has joined her parents; brother, Ray Rutledge; and beloved dog, Sieg Adam in eternal peace.

Rachel's spirit will continue to shine through the lives she touched and the love she shared. Her legacy of compassion, dedication, care, and feistiness will be remembered dearly by all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Rachel Osborn will be profoundly missed, but her impact will resonate within the hearts of her family and friends forever.
