Sandra Coyle Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Brown & Sons Funeral Homes & Crematory (43rd St. Chapel) - Bradenton on Jan. 5, 2026.
Sandra E. Coyle, affectionately known as Sandy to her friends and family, passed away after a short period of illness on December 11, 2025, in Bradenton, FL, at the age of 90. Sandy was born February 04, 1935, in Kansas City, KS, youngest daughter of Edwin B. Coyle, Sr. and Florence (Gilliford) Coyle.
Sandy was a graduate of Bishop Ward High School, Kansas City, Kansas, class of 1952. After completing her education, she embarked on a career journey with National Cash Register (NCR), where she dedicated 40+ years of service. Her tenure at NCR saw her in various roles. Sandy's work allowed her to travel across the United States and internationally. Her career also led her to live in several places, including Dayton, OH, Little Rock, AR, and St. Louis, MO. Upon retirement, she chose the tranquil shores of Anna Maria Island, FL and eventually settled in Bradenton, FL, where she continued to enjoy the coastal lifestyle.
Sandy's interests ranged from collecting Depression glassware, paperweights, and Longaberger baskets to her love for playing cards, especially Euchre. Sandy's love for Anna Maria Island was evident to all who knew her. She cherished her morning walks on the beach, where she took great joy in marking turtle nests trying to help the preservation of the local wildlife. She enjoyed volunteering at the voter polling stations and helping at the elementary schools with student vaccinations. She also volunteered as a driver for Meals on Wheels. Sandy was also an avid fan of her Tampa Bay Rays and Buccaneers, especially when playing the KC Royals and Chiefs!!
She was preceded in death by her parents and also, her siblings and spouses: Geraldine and Watson Standish; Edwin and Dorothy Coyle; Dolores and Paul Worthington, and Francis and Beryl Coyle. She is survived by nieces and nephews. A special thanks to Cheryl for the friendship and help given to Aunt Sandy over the last several years.
