Rachel White

Rachel White (Guthrie), age 70, of Searcy, Arkansas, passed away on September 19, 2025. She was born on June 21, 1955, in Torrance, California, to the late Odis and Rachel Guthrie. Rachel is survived by her loving husband, David White; her son, Eddie Starks (Jackie Starks); and her daughter, Sabrina Cline. Though a grandmother by birth, Rachel lovingly raised her granddaughters, Mariah Hefner (Andrew Hefner) and Kyndall Bennett (Matthew Bennett), as her own daughters. Mariah and Andrew blessed her with a great-granddaughter, Everly, while Kyndall and Matthew blessed her with a great-grandson, Willie Bo, and baby Odis on the way. Her other grandchildren include McKayla Clause (Boddy) with their children, River and Briar; Joshua Cline (Alyssa) with a baby on the way; and Ericka and Ashlyn Starks. Rachel is also survived by her siblings Odis Guthrie, Lois Williams, Ola Gafford, Frances Cardin, Bob Guthrie, Annette Day, and Tommy Guthrie. She was preceded in death by her sisters Pauline Franzi and Margaret Guthrie. Known to many simply as "Mom" and "Nana," Rachel's passion and purpose in life was caring for her family and others. Her love, warmth, and guidance touched everyone who knew her. She also enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing, and spending time outdoors, where she found peace and joy. Visitation will be held Monday, September 22, 2025 from 1:00–2:00 p.m. at Powell Funeral Home followed by a memorial service at 2:00pm. Burial to follow at West Point Cemetery.
