Radene S. Ward, 75, of Peru, passed away at 1:59 P.M., Sunday, January 14, 2024 at her residence. She was born in Miami County, IN on December 23, 1948, the daughter of Harry C. and Mary F. (Rathje) Ward.
Radene was a member of Peoria Church. She was a fierce eco-warrior and protector of all wild-life, big and small. She had a special gift for order and creativity. If she liked you, she teased you. She was a strong independent woman who lived life on her terms. She was a survivor who used her quick wit and sharp sarcasm to see her through.
Surviving is an Aunt Melba Bonner. Cousins and several nieces and nephews and many friends that were family to her. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers John Ward and Larry Ward.
A service celebrating the life of Radene Ward will be held at Noon, Monday, January 22, 2024 at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home, 84 West Main St., Peru, with Pastor Brian Daniels officiating. Burial will follow at Ever Rest Memorial Park, Logansport. Family and friends will gather Monday from 11:00 A.M. to 12 Noon, at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made through the funeral home to Scratching Post Cat Rescue.

Just found out of Radenes passing today.So sorry to hear this.She was a friend and neighbor for years.I know she is in heaven rejoicing with her mom,grandmother,dad and Sally now.Rest in Peace
