Radha Sankar

Radha Sankar, 83, of Lawrenceville, NJ, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family and friends on Saturday, October 26th. She was born in Trinidad, WI. Mrs. Sanakar resided in the area since 1968. She was a library technician in the Photographic Services Department in Princeton University's Firestone Library for over 30 years. She enjoyed playing with her grandchildren, singing with the Trenton Cultural Group, gardening, crocheting, entertaining, cooking, hula dancing, traveling and most of all, devoting her life to spirituality and her religion.
Wife of the late Isaac Sankar; daughter of the late Lachman and Rookmin Toolsie, sister of the late Jugundaye Harricharan, Hardeo Toolsie and Ramdeo Toolsie; she is survived by her daughters Dr. Vidya Sankar of Boston, MA, Vishma Sankar-Parry and her husband Shawn Parry of Yardley, PA, Vashtie and her husband Mathew Coefer of Hamilton Square, NJ, Vindira and her husband David Pelton of Lawrenceville, NJ, and her seven grandchildren: Zachary and Kyra Parry, Anabella and Timothy Coefer and Luke, Maya and Mia Pelton; along with many nieces and nephews and extended family.
Calling hours will be from 8-9:30 am, followed by the funeral services at 9:30 am on Friday November 1st at the Hamilton Brenna-Cellini Funeral Home, 2365 Whitehorse-Mercerville Rd., Hamilton, NJ 08619. Cremation will be held at the Ewing Cemetery & Crematorium, 100 Scotch Rd., Ewing, NJ immediately following the funeral services. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the Alzheimer's Association at www.alz.org
