Rafael C. Alaniz went to be with Our Lord on June 4, 2010. He was born to Manuel & Dolores in La Rosita, TX on January 8, 1927. He is preceded in death by his parents and three sisters. He is survived by his wife of 64 yrs. Mary Alaniz, 7 children, Rafael Jr. (Sharon) Alaniz, Annie (Alex) Garcia, Janie (Leonard) Zapata, Margaret Garza, Gerald Alaniz, Timothy Alaniz, Bernadette Alaniz, 17 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 1 sister, and 3 brothers. The Family would like to Thank the Nursing Staff of Odyssey Hospice for their kindness and excellent care. Visitation will begin on Monday, June 7, 2010 at 4:00 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. at Mission Park Funeral Chapels South. Funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. with a procession from the funeral home. Interment will follow at Mission Burial Park South.
