Beloved Rafael Jimenez passed peacefully at home, he was 82 years old
Rafael was a loving husband and father that was amazingly generous to everyone. His exuberance for life and love for his family and friends were felt by all. All who knew him will miss his joy and optimism. In his professional life, he was a mechanical engineer educated in the Dominican Republic.
Rafael was given the gift of life but he was a gift from God who sent his best angel to earth to teach us all to help each other. He would stop on any highway to help fix a stranger's car. Now he is in heaven driving around the world to the right of God spreading the message, that love is service, love is sacrificing yourself out of love for others.
Rafael is survived by his second wife, Maria Jimenez, his children from his first marriage with Hilda; Orlando, and Vilma Jimenez and four step-children; Joselin, Sandra, Jose Luis, and Wilfredo, who all loved him and will always remember their wonderful father. He leaves behind his 2 siblings, and he will be greeted in heaven by his parents, and his 4 deceased siblings. He also leaves behind his 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Rafael fue un esposo y padre amoroso que fue increíblemente generoso con todos. Su entusiasmo por la vida y el amor por su familia y amigos fueron sentidos por todos. Todos los que lo conocieron extrañarán su alegría y optimismo. En su vida profesional fue ingeniero mecánico formado en República Dominicana.
Rafael fue un regalo de Dios. Dios envió a su mejor ángel a la tierra para enseñarnos a todos a ayudarnos unos a otros. Se detendría en cualquier carretera para ayudar a arreglar el auto de un extraño. Ahora está en el cielo dando la vuelta al mundo a la derecha de Dios difundiendo el mensaje de que el amor es servicio, el amor es sacrificarse por amor a los demás.
A Rafael le sobreviven su segunda esposa, María Jiménez, sus hijos de su primer matrimonio con Hilda; Orlando y Vilma Jiménez y cuatro hijastros; Joselin, Sandra, Jose Luis y Wilfredo, quienes lo amaban y siempre recordarán a su maravilloso padre. Deja atrás a sus 2 hermanos, y será recibido en el cielo por sus padres y sus 4 hermanos fallecidos. También deja atrás a sus 11 nietos y 4 bisnietos, sobrinas, sobrinos, familiares y amigos.
Services for Rafael Jimenez will be held at Moloney Funeral Home in Central Islip on April 8, 2023 between the hours of 2:00-4:00pm and 7:00-9:00pm.
