Rafael Leandro Torres, affectionately known as Rayfee, Rafelito, or Big Ralph, passed away peacefully at his home in Cypress Hill, Brooklyn, on July 5, 2024, at 4:57 p.m. Born on February 9, 1963, in the municipality of Yerba Buena in San Jose de las Matas, Santiago, Dominican Republic, Rafael lived a life full of love, dedication, and passion.
Rafael attended John Bowne High School and went on to serve as a correction officer at Sing Sing, where he earned the respect and admiration of his colleagues.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Belkis Torres Rodriguez, and his cherished sons, Christopher Torres and Jeremy Leandro Torres. He is also remembered by his dear sisters, Rosana Amneris Telusma, Liliy Torres, Yvonne Torres, and Anilfa Torres. Rafael was predeceased by his loving parents, Luz Salcedo and Rafael Antonio Torres along with his Nephew Luis Antonio Torres His memory lives on through his nieces and nephews: Erica, Stefany, Justin, Jessie, Melissa, Elijiah, Kianna, LuzAryanna, and Leo as well as his best friends Benji, Ralphy, Fred rock, Benny, Robert aka block head
Rafael had a zest for life and a competitive spirit, enjoying poker, playing baseball, billiards, and bowling. He was a devoted fan of the New York Mets, the New York Giants, the New York Knicks, proudly supporting his teams through every season.
A memorial service to honor Rafael's life will be held Sunday July 14,2024 from 3pm to 8pm at coppola-migliore funeral chapel

Rafael Leandro Torres will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His legacy of love, laughter, strength, and joy will continue to inspire us all.
