Rafaela Carmona

Rafaela "Cindy" Carmona, 84, a Brooklynite who moved to Stroudsburg later in life. Cindy passed away peacefully on Monday, May 12, 2025 in the Whitestone Care Center. Born in Manhattan, New York, she was the beloved daughter of the late Frances Carmona. Cindy had an unmatched zest for life. She loved playing cards-Spades being her game of choice and she played with the same fire that she brought into every room. Cindy was witty, bold and never shied away from telling a good story, especially if it involved her younger days and how she used to "Kick Ass". She adored dogs and her most cherished companion was our family dog Tiny. Above all, Cindy was the life of the party and family celebrations were where she truly came alive, she loved to dance. Cindy's love, wisdom and strength will live on in the many lives she touched.
Survivors: Rafaela will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Sandra Carmona - Mitchell and her husband Jeffrey; grandchildren, Latoya Jennings and her husband Luther, Paul Carmona Parrish, Ian Carmona and Sam Mitchell; great grandchildren, Douglass Bryant, Alaysiah Jennings, Aniyah Jennings, Amir Jennings, Jacob Parrish, Symphony Carmona and Malachi Loss; nieces, Monique and Iris and nephew, Ernest. Rafaela is preceded in death by her son, Gregory Carmona; daughter, Frances Carmona; Siblings John, Elvira, Joey; nephews, Vincent and Alan.
