Rafaela Vera Obituary
Visitation will take place Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at 4 o'clock in the afternoon at Baca's Funeral Chapel, Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be recited at 6 led by her niece Rebeca del Muro Medina. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, May 8, 2024 at 11 o'clock in the morning at St. Ann's Catholic Church with the rite of committal and interment to follow at Mountain View Cemetery. Fr. Francis Gyau will officiate.
Rafaela was born in November 28, 1931 to Angela Ramirez and Jorge Del Muro in Villanueva, Zacatecas, Mexico. She was raised and went to school in Francisco Mungia. Rafaela and Jesus Vera Huerta got married on June 9, 1949. In 1979 she came to the United States to be with her husband, together they raised their 12 children. She worked at border foods and was also a homemaker. Rafaela enjoyed cooking, traveling, telling stories from her youth, and having all her family together. She was a communicant of the catholic church.
She is survived by her daughters, Estela Vera of Deming, Rogelia (Salvador) Martinez, Raquel (Jose) Flores and Maria Vera all of Phoenix, AZ; her sons, Jenaro (Julia) Vera, Jesus (Luz Elva) Vera, Raul (Martha) Vera all of Phoenix, AZ, David Vera, and Ruben (Corina) Vera both of Deming, and Juan Vera of Puerto Peñasco, MX; 35 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren and a sister Felix Del Muro from Zacatecas, MX.
She is preceded in death by her parents Jorge Del Muro and Angela Ramirez; her husband, Jesus Vera; a daughter, Luisa Togstad; a son, Rigoberto Vera; a grandson, Valentin Togstad, and siblings, Agapito, Tadeo, Cuca, Macrina, Gregoria, Juana and Lupe Del Muro.
Serving as pallbearers will be George Lopez, Jesus Jr., Angel, Jorge, Genaro and Rigoberto Vera Jr., Relo and Eddie Martinez.
