With profound sadness and hearts full of gratitude for his life, we announce the passing of Raj Auluck, a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, cherished brother, and faithful servant of God. Raj peacefully departed this life on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at the Peter Lougheed Centre in Calgary, at the age of 65.
Raj’s life was a beautiful reflection of his unwavering devotion to God and immeasurable love for his family. Everything he did—every sacrifice, every act of kindness, every moment of joy—was rooted in his faith and in his desire to serve and uplift those he loved most.
He is succeeded by his beloved wife of 35 years, Neeraj (née Trehan), with whom he built a life filled with warmth, laughter, and purpose. He leaves behind his treasured sons, Anmol (Jyoti) and Anuj, and his beloved granddaughter Gianna, the light of his life. Raj is also lovingly remembered by his siblings Kamalpreet Kainth, Surjeet Singh Auluck, and Rani Basra, and by his extended family across Calgary, Vancouver, and Toronto. He is now reunited in peace with his parents, Harbans Lal and Satya Wati Auluck.
Born in New Delhi, India, Raj immigrated to Canada as a young teenager in the 1970s. From Toronto to Vancouver, and finally settling in Calgary, he carried with him the values of perseverance, humility, and devotion. It was in Alberta that he began building the family which became his pride and joy, alongside his wife, Neeraj.
Raj worked as a truck driver for many years, often traveling far distances—but his heart never left home. Every mile driven was with his family in mind. He worked hard not just to provide, but to be present—to be the strong and loving father his children admired and the devoted husband his wife cherished.
Raj’s life was transformed when he found faith in Christ. His walk with God became the foundation of his life. He became an active and devoted member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, where he found community, purpose, and peace. His faith shaped his character—his generosity, integrity, and his deep sense of responsibility to care for others. Whether through service, encouragement, or prayer, Raj lived to reflect the love of Christ.
To know Raj was to witness a man who loved fully and lived faithfully. He was outspoken, charismatic, and often the one to lift others’ spirits with a quick wit and a compassionate word. His presence brought comfort; his prayers brought hope. His love for God and for his family was the heartbeat of his life.
A Funeral Service for Raj will be held on Monday, July 14, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at Garden Road Seventh-day Adventist Church (155 - 100 St. NE, Calgary). Family viewing will be held at 10:00AM. General visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. All who knew and loved Raj are welcome to attend and celebrate a life so beautifully lived.
Though he is no longer with us, Raj’s spirit remains—rooted in our memories, our hearts, and in the lives he touched through his love, faith, and enduring example.
