In Loving Memory of Rakesh Patel
April 13, 1974 – October 26, 2025
Rakesh Patel, beloved husband to Sarika Patel and devoted father to his son, Dylan Patel, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and passion.
A big part of Rakesh’s life was devoted to training dogs for personal protection. Known for his almost magical touch with German Shepherds and Belgian Malinois, he earned the admiration of dog trainers nationwide. His remarkable skill led him to become a national champion, winning multiple awards in Protection Sports Association competitions alongside his beloved companion, Klaus.
Above all, Rakesh’s family was his heart. His greatest joy came from being a husband and father—roles he embraced with unwavering devotion. Everything he did, he did with his family in mind. His love for Dylan was boundless, and he took immense pride in guiding, protecting, and cheering him on every step of the way.
One of his favorite country songs—“Live Like You Were Dying”—was not just something he sang, it was how he lived. He embraced the world with open arms, found joy in the everyday, and never missed a chance to create memories. His love for country music was part of his soul, and “Take Me Home, Country Roads” always made him smile. Today, we find comfort in knowing he has found his way home.
His enthusiasm for vibrant colors matched his joy for life and brightened every room he entered.
Rakesh leaves a gaping hole in our lives, one that cannot be filled. Yet the legacy he leaves behind—of love, laughter, courage, and living life to its fullest—will continue to guide us. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who were touched by his beautiful spirit.
Though our hearts are broken, we are forever grateful for the years we had with him. His love will remain with us always.
