Raleigh Kent Gardenhire

It is with unmeasurable sadness that the family of Raleigh Kent Gardenhire announce his unexpected passing on November 20, 2025. His departure leaves a tremendous void in the hearts of his family and all who knew him.

Raleigh is survived by his loving wife, Lynn Mullins, his step son, Chasen Finkelstein, step daughter Lauren Fornes and her husband, Don Fornes and their four children, Hudson, Stone, Brick and Greer.

He is also survived by his cousins, Karen Kessell, Cooper Kessell and his wife, Frances.

Raleigh was a "bigger than life" person, loved and amused by all who knew him.

His adventuresome spirit took him from playing roles in Western movies to Race car driving, skiing the mountains in New Mexico and Colorado and to his professional interests as owner of a prominent insurance business in New Mexico, where he was born and raised.

Raleigh was an avid supporter of college athletics, particularly UNM football & basketball. However his greatest enjoyment in life came from being a "gentleman rancher" where he & his wife, Lynn worked tirelessly only to rest in oversized rocking chairs on the portal at the end of the day, while enjoying the wildlife and stunning mountain views. He will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to cross his path in life.
