RALEIGH “GRUMPY” J. JOHNSON, JR.

 

Age 93, of Frankfort, passed away Sunday, February 25th, 2024 at his home.                   

 

Raleigh is survived by his loving family, children, Joe (Debbie) Johnson, Raleigh “Buddy” (Adela) Johnson, Edward Johnson, siblings, Helen (Bernie) Geers, Bernie (Alice) Johnson, grandchildren, Joseph (Jennifer) Johnson, Nicholas (Deana) Johnson, Scott (Michele) Johnson, great grandchildren, Emily, Joseph, Zachary, Lola, Madison, Nicholas, Hunter, Liam and great great granddaughter Bonnie.   

 

Raleigh was preceded in death by his parents, Raleigh & Helen Johnson Sr. (Keeler), wife, Margaret Johnson (Halstead) and 10 siblings.

 

Raleigh was a United States Marine Corps Veteran and member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Frankfort.       

 

Family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort, IL 60423 on Friday, March 1st, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM.  Funeral Mass, Saturday, March 2nd, 2024 at 10:30 AM at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 7659 W. Sauk Trail, Frankfort, IL 60423.  Interment will be private.  PLEASE OMIT FLOWERS, donations to the St. Vincent DePaul Society would be greatly appreciated.
