Ralph Edward Boyd, age 66, peacefully transitioned from this earthly life to eternal rest on Thursday, July 17, 2025.
Born in Nashville, Tennessee to the late John Lockridge and Alma F. Boyd, Ralph proudly served his country in the United States Coast Guard, where he exemplified dedication and courage. He joined Morning Star M.B. Church in 2014. He is a proud member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.
He leaves behind his devoted wife, Connie Boyd; loving children; daughter Erica Boyd Stevens (Reginald Stevens II) of Maryland, Mariah Johnson Paris Island, S.C. sons Vincent Gilmore, Ryland Douglas of Nashville, Stepchildren in love Lakeitha Garrison Baugh (Charles Baugh III), Fort Lauderdale, FL, Alisha Edwards of Nashville and Angelica Edwards of Atlanta and cherished grandchildren, Reginald Stevens III, Reign Stevens, Mecca McCrary, London Baugh and Charles Baugh IV who brought immense joy to his life. Ralph was a proud brother to one sister, Linda Austin, and six brothers: James A. Ostine, Lemark Ostine (Fresno, CA), Gregory Ostine, Carl Boyd, Andrew Ostine, and Gary Ostine (Nashville, TN). He was also a beloved nephew to Doris Smith, Ann Braden, Sarah Beaman, and Betty Sue Boyd. He leaves behind his extended sister Phyllis Cooper Taylor(Willie Taylor), Barbara Cooper of Ripley , brother Charles Cooper (Justine Cooper) of Clarksville, TN and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and lifelong friends.
Ralph will be remembered for his gregarious spirit, sharp sense of humor, and infectious laugh that could light up any room. He had a deep love for his family and found great joy in spending time with them, especially while cheering on his favorite football teams during Sunday games.
His presence will be deeply missed, but his legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.”
