Celebrating The Life of Ralph Joseph Brigham Sr
1935-2023
Ralph Brigham Sr. past on January 2, 2023, in Huntington Hospital, following a long term battle with various illnesses.
Ralph was born to parents Glasgow and Mary Brigham on April 8, 1935 in Brooklyn, NY
He had two brothers and one sister.
He attended Boys and Girls High School in Brooklyn, NY and joined the Military where he advanced through the ranks to become a well-respected Drill SGT
Ralph proudly served his country for 4 years and was honorably discharged on November 30, 1962
Ralph met and married Muriel Grimes in 1958. They had 4 children. He is survived by wife Muriel of 64 years, 4 children, Krystal, Ralph Jr., Adrienne, Nicole, Grandson Jerome, Daughter in Law Josie and nephews, James, Scottie, Lenny Jr, Eric and Christopher and a host of extended family and friends.
He moved his family from Brooklyn to Huntington, NY in 1969 where he lived until his passing.
Ralph was a devoted husband and father, he loved his family tremendously and cared for all who came in his presence.
He was kind, caring and giving with a keen sense of humor.
He enjoyed bowling. He belonged to a bowling league for many years with his wife and son, winning many trophies.
Ralph enjoyed many card games, domino baseball, boxing, and fishing. He brought and rode a motorcycle after his retirement. He enjoyed watching baseball, bowling, boxing, old classic movies especially westerns and military themed movies. His greatest past time was spending Saturdays with his wife and daughter Krystal enjoying a nice breakfast and shopping.
He loved working with his hands and was a self-taught carpenter and built many pieces for family members and for sale.
Ralph owned and operated a detailing business in Bayside, Queens for many years which he worked with his son Ralph Jr.
He worked for Huntington Coach Bus Company where he retired.
Ralph had a love for sweets which he enjoyed and brought a smile to his face.
Ralph, you will be greatly and sorely missed but not forgotten. You will always stay present in our hearts.
God needed another angel, and He chose you.
Love always and forever your family and friends.
