Ralph Brionez passed away on February 19, 2025, at the age of 66 in Albuquerque, NM.
In his younger years, Ralph served in the Army National Guard and served during the 1980 Santa Fe, New Mexico penitentiary riot.
Ralph was an incredible craftsman and throughout his years worked in every aspect of the construction industry. He had a keen eye when working on projects and was very meticulous in his work; the project was never complete until it met his level of perfection!
Ralph was a great cook and loved to prepare a hearty meal on his Disco for his friends and family. He loved to hunt, fish, garden and always had many projects at his home going on at once. If you went by to visit, many times you’d catch him blaring his Spanish music while tending to his most recent project.
Ralph was most proud of his children, Filiberto, Angelo, Floyd & Floria. Within minutes of any conversation with him, he would boast about one of their most recent accomplishments. His face lit up when he was around his grandchildren Ily, Anais, Angelo, Angelina, Isaac, Isaiah, Israel & Royce.
He was preceded in death by his beloved mother Rose Brionez Grier, his father Seferino Brionez, his grandparents Filiberto & Manuelita de Atocha Garcia, and his longtime partner Virginia Martinez.
In addition to his children and grandchildren, Ralph survived by his siblings Eddie Brionez (Anne), Michael Grier, Jr. (Brenda), Michelle Konno; his stepfather, Mike Grier and many nieces & nephews.
The Pallbearers will be Eddie Brionez, Michael Grier Jr., Angelo Lovato, Floyd Dogol, Kalen Kozlowski, Kalen Kozlowski, Jr., Chris Souza & Conrad Pittman.
Services will be held Friday, February 28, 2025, at The Shrine of St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 11401 Indian School Rd. NE with a viewing from 8:30 -9:30 am. A Rosary/Mass will begin at 9:30 am with Internment immediately following at Canon Del Carnuel Cemetery.
