Ralph Burns, age 76, went home to be with Jesus on Friday, December 26, 2025.

He was born on April 24, 1949, in Shelbyville, Indiana. As a young man, Ralph served in the United States Navy, Naval Intelligence. Following his military service, Ralph worked 30 years as a mail carrier for the Post Office in Shelbyville, Indiana.

Ralph was a man who embodied his Christian beliefs. He was called into ministry and dedicated 18 years of his life as a pastor. Ralph previously ministered at Lewis Creek Wesleyan Church in his home state of Indiana.

Ralph and his wife, Becky, settled in Gallatin, Tennessee. There, they found great fellowship and lifelong friendships at First United Methodist Church of Gallatin. Ralph was truly passionate about helping others and was active in the Stephen Ministry of Gallatin First United Methodist Church.

Ralph instilled strong values in his family by setting an extraordinary Christ-like example. He was faithful, generous, and hardworking. Ralph had a calm nature and a presence that carried the respect of others. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many. Ralph will be remembered for his outstanding character, and his memory will be cherished. Although his family is broken-hearted, they take peace knowing he is with the Lord.
