Always enjoyed hearing and talking to Ralph on the radio. Was expecting to hear him on today but now know why I didn't. 73s and RIP my radio friend. Condolences to his family.

One of the nicest guys to talk with on shortwave radio. I made a recording of him a few years ago at the top of the 40 meter band where licensed radio hobbyists gather to share stories and technical discussions. Here, he describes the "modern" novelty of listening to shortwave on a smartphone. He is transmitting on equipment 60 some odd years old. Will miss talking with you, Ralph. https://archive.org/details/kb-8-bka-kiwi

RIP Ralphie, my condolences to the family. I've known Ralph for many years. Worked with him at Sycon in Marion and here at CYT. We were bowling partners in Marion taking the Championship that season. May God bless you and keep you safe.
