Ralph Cook, 92, of Ashley, Indiana, went to join his wife, Myrna in Heaven on Friday, June 6, 2025, at his residence.
He was born September 18, 1932, to Walter and Louella Cook.
On September 13, 1957, he married Myrna Lou McClellan. She preceded him in death on April 28, 2022.
Ralph was a member of Mt. Zion Methodist Church near Golden Lake.
He was a Veteran of the Korean War and was a radarman in the Navy. One of his favorite days was going on the Honor Flight to Washington DC.
He was an awesome athlete from his high school days through his 80's. He excelled at basketball, fast-pitch softball and bowling. He also loved to golf at Hidden Valley.
Ralph was a wonderful husband, father, son, brother, and man. No one loved people more than he did.
He retired from Moore's Business Forms in 1987. He enjoyed working on his "hobby farm" and all the many animals.
Surviving are two daughters, Deb (Susan Gudas) Cook of Ashley and Holly (Max)(Adeline) Filbrun of Ashley; a son, Rick Cook of Ashley; a grandson, Luke Holsinger of Ashley; and two brothers, Bill (Sharon) Cook and Bob (Bea) Cook.
He was also preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Don Cook and Dick Cook.
A celebration of life service for Ralph and Myrna will be held at a later date.
Preferred memorials may be directed to Mt. Zion Methodist Church, 3365 S. Golden Lake Road, Pleasant Lake, Indiana, 46779 or the DeKalb County Humane Shelter, 5730 CR 11A, Auburn, IN 46706.
