Shirley Ann Stoots Cook, age 86, went to be with the Lord Friday November 7, 2025. Born March 22, 1939, she was the daughter of Kemper and Grace Hale Stoots.
Shirley was of the Baptist Faith, she was a loving mother and wife, she loved the beautiful scenery at the lake and being in Florida in the wintertime, she was an avid reader and enjoyed visiting with her friends.
In addition to her parents Shirley was preceded in death by her brothers: Scottie Stoots (Verna) and Thurman Stoots (Lucille); sisters: Christine Compton (Donald), Nadine Hess (Raymond), and Malissa Plott (Sylvan).
She is survived by her husband of 53 years Donald Cook; son Bryan Cook; nieces: Sondra Massie and Judy Reeves (Jerry); nephews: Kemper Hess (Sherry) and Paige Stoots.
The graveside service will be conducted at 2:00pm on Wednesday November 12, 2025, in Ketron Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 1:00pm until 2:00pm prior to the service at the mausoleum.
Honorary pallbearers will be Bryan Jessee, Adam Johnston, and Stewart Montgomery.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the charity or church of your choice.
