Ralph E. Faasse

Ralph E. Faasse age 77, of North Haledon passed peacefully on Sunday, May 7, 2023. Born in Paterson and raised in Hawthorne, Ralph and his wife Dorothy have resided in North Haledon for the past 47 years.
Ralph was a graduate of Eastern Christian High School, Calvin College and Rutgers University School of Law. He was a partner in the firm of Carbone and Faasse for forty years. In years past, he served as assistant prosecutor in Passaic County, as Municipal Court Judge of Prospect Park and as attorney for boards of adjustment in various towns. He also served on the board of Eastern Christian School Association.
As a member of Cedar Hill Christian Reformed Church in Wyckoff, Ralph served as Elder and Shepherding Elder, providing spiritual encouragement, praying with and for those who had health concerns and offering help to those in need. He truly felt blessed by God to serve in this way.
He loved spending time with his family, boating on the Hudson, and family vacations at the beach. He also enjoyed meeting and talking to people. There was never anyone with whom he could not start a conversation and enjoyed the new things that he might learn in those conversations.
Ralph is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Dorothy (nee Moezelaar), and his devoted children, Trish and her husband Dan DeVries, Ralph Jr. and his wife Allison, Brian and his wife Colleen, and Darlene and her husband Michael Kameno. Adoring PopPop to Jason, David and Zachary DeVries, Jacob, Lukas, Kierra and Leigha Faasse, Derek and Samantha Faasse and Matthew Kameno. Ralph also leaves his brother William and his wife Kathy. Beloved brother-in-law to Trena and Calvin Swart and Janice and Samuel VanGrouw. He was predeceased by his parents, Theophilus and Clara Faasse and his brother, Philip Faasse.
The Faasse family will receive friends on Thursday, May 11, 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, www.vpfh.com,257 Godwin Ave. Wyckoff, NJ. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 12, 10:30 AM at the Cedar Hill Christian Reformed Church, 422 Cedar Hill Ave, Wyckoff. Interment will follow at Fair Lawn Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Ralph's name may be made to the Eastern Christian School Association, 50 Oakwood Avenue, North Haledon, NJ 07508.
