Ralph J. Greipp, 82, of
Leesburg, FL passed away August 24,2025, with his loving wife and a close friend by his side. Born February 17, 1943 the only child to Joseph and Henrietta (Gambino) Greipp in Philadelphia, PA where he lived until at 19, he relocated making southern New Jersey his home. Ralph began his work life in the helicopter maintenance sectors of Boeing and Piasecki Aircraft before finding his true calling in 1972 as a law enforcement officer. Ralph served his department, Gloucester Township Police Department and his community honorably and with unwavering dedication for twenty-five years. During his career he rose through the ranks from patrolman to shift investigator, armorer, Detective and firearms instructor for the police academy, as well as attending numerous training academies, ultimately retiring as a Sergeant. His professionalism and commitment to maintaining the highest standards of police work allowed him to train and mentor many young officers to successful and fulfilling careers in law enforcement, with many achieving ranks higher than his, giving him a great sense of pride and accomplishment. Retiring in 1997, Ralph and his beloved wife, Lisa, moved to the farmhouse he designed and had built in the mountains of Northeast Pennsylvania where he enjoyed maintaining the acreage and his gardens, splitting firewood for the woodstoves in the house, hosting family and friends and relaxing watching the native birds and wildlife. In 2003, seeking warmer weather, Ralph and his wife moved to Florida where he continued to enjoy his lifelong hobbies of classic cars, attending NHRA drag races, travel and photography as well as seeking out and adding sought after items to his many and varied collections. Most recently Ralph had developed an interest in watching videos of chefs and using them as inspiration to create new recipes to host family and friends with delicious food and good wine along with moonshine and other spirits. Although a true homebody, above all else Ralph loved spending time with and sharing his life, love and laughter with his wife, family and friends. There was nothing he enjoyed more than getting the people he loved to laugh and have a good time. Ralph still maintained loving connections with many of his childhood friends from Philadelphia and their children, as well as the many cherished friendships he was blessed with over his lifetime. Everyone knew if Ralph was your friend, you had a man you could count on through thick and thin. Ralph loved his life and he will be missed forevermore by those of us who loved him and laughed with him. Ralph is survived by his beloved wife Lisa (Momberger) of
Leesburg, FL; his mother-in-law Elaine (Hannay) Momberger; Lisa's siblings George M. (Mike) Momberger, Paul and Kerri (Wolf) Momberger, and Karen (Momberger) and Tim Braun; his nieces and nephews; and his son, Adam Greipp. Memorial Services to be announced at a future date.
